My Glam WARNING

I tried to give a friend a 1 year subscription to My Glam- ordered it on 12/2/11. My credit card was charged on 12/2/11. After 5 days, I never received any sort of confirmation or any communication with them. On their website, there is no way to talk to customer service, so I emailed but heard nothing back. I got the number of the business office, where they answered the phone "hello?". Not professional. They told me that My Glam was out of stock but they had no way to access my account and recommended I email again. This time I did get a response. They did not answer my questions about whether or not there would be stock- they totally ignored my questions. So, I asked for a refund. They told me it would take 3-5 days. I have been waiting- over 2 weeks. The customer service girl named Nicole Robinson-Anderson told me in 2 separate emails that PayPal, who they use, had in fact refunded my money. However, that was not true. When I contacted PayPal, they said there was no request made for a refund and they said because it was via a "electronic PayPal" user, I would have to dispute it with my credit card company. PayPal also told me that their records show that My Glam (aka personalized beauty discovery) has a "freeze" on their account which means there would be no refunds available, even if they had requested one.



This company is in over their head. They are lying to those of you who are being told you will receive product soon, and they are deceitful in their dealings with customers. I would recommend trying Birchbox, as they have been wonderful to deal with and have great glam products.

 

 

not trying to defend them but when you signed up on 12/2, your subscription would start in january. i don't think anyone gets a conf. email after being billed (neither does birchbox send out one of those). how do you know they were trying to scam you out of your money? did it say in "myglam account" that no payment was made?
